Seven minute itch (Cnidoscolus stimulosus)

This beautiful flower is just a bit difficult to garden around. There’s no pulling that tap-root, and it’s very difficult to dig out, seems like I always leave more than enough in the ground for this baby to come back.

Scratching where it itches can result in a bloody mess, as the more you scratch, the more it itches. I’ve been finding that not scratching the itchy place actually works pretty well.

That root looks like something that should go into the cooking pot. Green Deane tells how he collects them and makes dinner.
