Dunno which crinum this is, found bulbs in vacant lot where a friend was tearing down a house for the lumber.
This crinum has an unusual growth habit, sending out runners like the orange daylily that we all try to eradicate before it takes over the entire bed.

Anole on crinum leaf, practicing camouflage.
Edit: December 27 2011
A visitor suggested this crinum might be C. americanum.
On checking google, I discovered reference to those runners for C. americanum var robustum
I don’t recall the beaked fruit, but the colours mentioned sound right… Too bad the crinums are all frosted down, I can’t go check, until next summer.
When’s summer? I hate the cold!

Joe pye weed in back, a coupla kinds of ginger lilies in the middle, and a coupla kinds of crinums in the front.
